Painted Onyx Heart, Labradorite, Moonstone, and sterling silver drop Earrings

Onyx is most recognized for being the birthstone of December and being used to celebrate the seventh year of marriage for couples. The rich black color of the stone and its strength also made Onyx ideal for use in rings and necklaces. In Greek, Onyx means “claw” or “fingernail” because of its appearance resembling that of a fingernail’s veins. Onyx is a symbol of inner strength, willpower and great discipline.

Moonstone is a feldspar mineral gemstone that is pale and iridescent. In appearance it can be similar to some opals, although they are chemically different. Opals can be many different colors, and their iridescence contains many colors; in contrast, moonstone is always milky-white and its iridescence is limited to gray, peach, and blue tones. Moonstone is a stone of feminine power and mystery. 

Labradorite activates the inner eye allowing one to more clearly envision the past, future, and distant places. Labradorite shows us the wonderful opportunities that arise when we are in harmony with all our aspects, both mundane and spiritua
